Harry Potter and The End of My Childhood.

on Thursday 14 July 2011
Ok so even though I have not seen the film yet, and the thought of actually waiting 9 more days KILLS ME. There are a few thing's I need to get off my chest.

Firstly I am an AVID harry potter fan. Maybe overly obsessed but whatevs and what really bugs me about pretentious arrogant fuckers that are like 'People that are obsessed with Harry Potter are so deluded' you can fuck right off cause your clearly missing the ENTIRE point of it all.

It's not just books and films about a boy wizard who goes on adventures, it's what it all represent's to someone my age. I'm 22 and the first book came out when i was extremely young, which means I have spent the majority of my life reading and watching harry potter. Therefore it's literally signifying the end of my childhood. I've grown up with these characters and developed with them. Even though they are not tangible or remotely real in a scientific sense they have still affected my life more than most real people that I have come into contact with over the last 15 years.

An example of this was when Dobby died in DH. Cynical people were like oh look at them crying over an elf dying. IT'S NOT CAUSE HE IS A FUCKING ELF. It's what he represented as a character, total loyalty in the face of extreme danger, heart, passion and love. That death has affected me more than any other death in the Harry Potter series. Dobby was clearly an unlikely hero and he clearly deserved his own paragraph in this blog.

Honestly these films and books will live forever through the people that love them as much as I do, they deserve to. They are amazing literature, JK Rowling has created such an intricate and in-depth world that should be adored.

SO yeah, HP fan for life.

If my kid's don't like Harry Potter. I WILL disown them.

Wicked.

So normally I don't usually blog about my life. As it's usually more fun to look at oneself in a spoon. However, this weekend has been like amazing so I thought I would share it with you...the 0 followers I have. You cool with that?

So firstly me and one of my best friends went to see Professor Green on friday and that was BEYOND IMMENSE, not only the music but the atmosphere, I love getting together with complete strangers just to enjoy music, it brings a sense of unity which I love.

SECONDLY I have just returned from seeing Wicked The Musical, now I know if a certain person is reading this (wifey) I know I agreed to see this with you, AND I STILL WILL but this was just bought on completely by surprise and I had no clue it was going to happen till I got there. So please don't be mad :P

Ok so Wicked. Was, well it was indescribable, I seriously am a theatre supporter though I have not been to many productions. I WAS FUCKING BLOWN AWAY. Seriously one of my dreams in life was too see Defying Gravity performed on stage, and when that moment came and the wicked witch hit the last big note. I had buckets of tears streaming down my face.

It was a moment I shall never forget.
